CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
The 2018/19 NOA Prize has been postponed until further notice.
Must live in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Eire).
Must be 15 years of age or younger by 1 September 2018.
May enter a maximum of 3 artworks. Paintings; Drawings; Photography; Digitally produced artworks, Wall Hung Installations and Collage are all accepted.
You warrant that
- You are the sole owner of all Intellectual Property Rights in the work that you are submitting
- That the work has not been copied in whole or in part from another person's work
- That you know of nothing that would prevent you from submitting that work for NOA 2018

By signing the registration form, the entrant accepts that for artwork, if selected for any exhibition(s), the organisers will not be liable for any loss or damage to the said artwork, however caused, either in transit to and from the exhibition, or during any period of storage, packing or unpacking, or in any period in which the work is in their keeping.
Is strongly advised to take out their own commercial insurance to cover the work in transit (two-ways) and during the exhibition periods. The Chichester Art Trust and the National Open Art accept NO responsibility for damage to entrants' artworks in transit or during the time of the judging/exhibitions or while in storage.
Accepts that the work submitted will be on the NOA website and online gallery for a designated period to be determined.
Notes that all events held by our charity, including the National Open Art Prize and exhibitions, are primarilu to raise funds for the benefit of the charity to fulfil its aims and objectives.
Upon registering and entering this exhibition entrants agree that NOA may reproduce their work (at no fee) only in association with the prize & exhibitions (including press/publicity/website & catalogue and any other printed material, flyers, postcards and posters advertising the NOA exhibitions and future entries). In order that we may promote the Chairity, and your work, in the way we feel most appropriate, you waive all moral rights in the work you have submitted during the time of the prize and Exhibition. Regardless of the previous sentence, we will, where reasonably practical to do so, credit your work when reproducing it.
There are separate prizes for the Children’s exhibition.
Agrees to be placed on our mailing lists for our newsletters and any other information that we may send you, for the duration of the prize in the year of registration. Entrant's personal details will be kept confidential and not be passed to third parties.
Will be eligible to apply for a £5 online gift offer from Cass Art, details of how to apply will be shown on your confirmation letter or on your own Artists' Area on the website.
Please Note: As a Not for Profit Charity we do not offer any refunds for registrations or submissions due to the cost of running the prize.
A maximum of 3 (three) works may be entered into the exhibition. Only one image of each work must be submitted.
The image submitted must be true to the artwork (try to avoid unnecessary background), although your work may be photographed professionally to help you submit a high-quality image. The artwork shown on the image(s) must be available for all the exhibition(s) see Key Dates under 'Competition Info'; dates and times will also be given on your letter advising that your work has been selected for the exhibition.
The image(s) and the completed submission form(s) must be submitted online. If you are unable to register or submit online we will accept images on a CD, clearly labelled with the completed registration and submission forms (available on request from Amanda Kings, on 07986 697 693) and payment sent to the address below. Please do not send any artwork to this address.

The image(s) and completed submission form(s) must be submitted online by the closing date of 6 January 2019. Entries received late will be invalid unless the prize is extended for any reason then entries received before the new extended date will be accepted.
All work must be new or recent (i.e. this current year).
Paintings, drawings, photography, digitally produced artworks, mixed media and wall-hung constructions (of no more than 30cms in depth) are accepted.
Sound Art and Moving Image is not accepted in this prize.
All work must be designed to hang on a wall.
Must be the original work of the artist named on the registration form.
Must ensure, if the submitted digital image of the entrant's work is shortlisted, that the original artwork is available, if selected, for the exhibition(s).
Must, if selected, for the exhibition(s), be the same work previously submitted as a digital image.
Work must not exceed 50cms x 50cms (including the frame, if applicable) and must not project more than 30cms from the wall.
Work made up of more than one piece, such as a diptych or triptych, must also be no larger than the above measurements, in total, when displayed on the wall (including any frames).
Your work must be submitted, if selected for the exhibition(s), in an Art Bag from ArtPakk (discounts are available for NOA artists) or something similar. If it is not and is wrapped in bubble wrap it may be returned unwrapped after the exhibition(s). Children’s works will be available online from the first day of the exhibition. If you prefer your work not to be shown in our online Gallery you will need to opt out.
Work selected for the exhibition(s) must be available until the close of all the exhibition tours.
All works must be collected by the date in the confirmation email and or on our key dates on our website, the organisation has no storage facilities.
NOTE failure to collect your work on time may result in your work being destroyed or sold to recoup any costs involved with storage.
If you feel you have not been judged fairly after your acceptance of NOA's conditions of entry, please send us details of your complaint and we will review it within 14 days.
